A heartfelt apology for not posting in forever and a day. Things in my camp have been a bit on the crazy side the last few months.
Team Rapha-FOCUS cross team took me all over the place in the last 3 months. I was in Vegas, Sun Praire, Iowa City, Cincinnati, Portland, Bend, Los Angeles and even San Dimas.
I spent nearly 200 hrs behind the wheel of our new Mercedes Sprinter van since September 1. I have attended 22 cross races, logged 20k Benz miles, spent 35 hotel nights, crossed 8 states and made almost 200 gas stops. I can finally say that my 2010 cross season is at an end.
Our team was a huge success this season. Numerous podiums at some of the USGP's, Jingle Cross, UCI3 and Nationals. We hit our stride as a program in mid season as to be expected for a new team. We rubbed elbows with the big kids from Cannondale-Cyclocross World, Kona and the dudes from Cal Giant and Specialized. We came to every event with our "A" game and walked away with results! We are a team now and here to stay.
I am very proud of what I have put together this year with TRF. I need to say thanks to my boss Scott Rittschof for his trust in me with our outside marketing efforts. He has always been a champion for me and my visions. In addition I would be remissed to not thank our brains of TRF and that would be Jeff Rowe. It was his grounding influences that kept our program in the here and now. The final chap I want to say thanks to would be Mr Slate Olsen. This guy is the vision of this program and has made us look the part of a big high dollar program. Thanks Slate you kept us rocking.
To my riders, Zach and Chris. I know that we had our bumps over the months but I think we came together and made shit happen. You two are the most professional and composed riders I have ever had the opportunity to work with. You guys are the best.
A very special thanks to our sponsors:
