2010 Focus First Extreme - Leadville Rig of Rigs

The Focus First Extreme is the perfect bike for Leadville. Shrouded in mystery, the First is currently only sold in the Euro market due to the Horst Link patent with Specialized.

For those of us at Focus USA we are very hopeful that this patent falls by the wayside. The Extreme is one of the cleanest full suspension bikes in the world. Some have said that this is by far the coolest and fastest bikes rolling single track.

For starters, the third generation of the FIRST suspension bike with the shock mounted in the top tube has shed 500g from the frame while going to a 1 1/8-to-1 1/2 in head tube, 120mm of travel and carbon fibre rear subframe. With a CrankBrothers Joplin adjustable seatpost, the FIRST Extreme weighs just  22.5lb. No pricing as of yet but it should be close to $9000.

Here are some of the specs from the 2010 Focus First Extreme.

Swingarm - Carbon High Mod UniDirectional Carbon
